Abstract:

 


This study was carried out to determination of some plant characteristics in the Kayseri alfalfa ecotype under Ankara conditions in the research and experimental fields of the Research Center for the Field Crops. In this study were used data which obtained the Kayseri alfalfa ecotype with in ‘’Alfalfa breeding research’’ project. Plant height, stem thickness, the number of stem, the number of cutting, the number of days between cutting, habitus, dormancy, leaf weight and early spring growth conditions were determined in the Kayseri alfalfa. According to the results obtained from this study; the average of plant height 67.6 cm, stem thickness 3.7 mm, the number of stems 50.4 items, the number of days between cutting 33.5 days and the number of cutting 2.5 items were measured in the Kayseri Alfalfa ecotype. The Kayseri alfalfa ecotypewere determined upright growth habit, dormant type, medium-sized leaf massiveness and the rapid development of early spring. The number of stem, plant height and the number of days between cutting were found in the high variance.

Bu çalışma; Kayseri yoncası ekotipinde bazı bitkisel özelliklerin belirlemesi amacıyla Ankara koşullarında Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü Müdürlüğünün Araştırma ve Uygulama tarlasında yürütülmüştür. Bu çalışmada; ‘’Yonca ıslahı araştırmaları’’ projesi kapsamında Kayseri yoncası ekotipinden elde edilen veriler kullanılmıştır. Kayseri yoncasında bitki boyu, sap kalınlığı, sap sayısı, biçim sayısı, biçimler arası gün sayısı, habitus, dormantlık, yaprak iriliği ve erken ilkbahar gelişim durumları gibi özellikler belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; Kayseri yoncasında ortalama bitki boyu 67.6 cm, sap kalınlığı 3.7 mm, sap sayısı 50.4 adet, biçimler arası gün sayısı 33.5 gün ve biçim sayısı 2.5 adet olarak belirlenmiştir. Kayseri yoncası dik habituslu, Dormant tip, orta yaprak iriliğinde ve erken ilkbahar gelişimi ise hızlı olarak belirlenmiştir. En yüksek varyans sap sayısı, bitki boyu ve biçimler arası gün sayısında bulunmuştur.
