 تركزت مشكلة الدراسة في تحديد العلاقة بين جودة الحياة والاغتراب النفسي لدى أعضاء هيئة التدريس المغتربين بجامعة الملك سعود، وطبقت على عينة قدرها (63) عضواً، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي التحليلي بأداتين هما: مقياس (جودة الحياة والاغتراب النفسي).  وافترضت الدراسة أنه توجد علاقة ارتباط دالة إحصائياً سالبة بين متوسطات تقدير أفراد الدراسة لمستوى جودة الحياة (وأبعادها المختلفة)، ومتوسطات تقدير أفراد الدراسة لمستوى الاغتراب النفسي (وأبعاده المختلفة) لدى أفراد الدراسة. وأنه توجد فروق غير دالة إحصائياً في مستوى جودة الحياة (وأبعادها المختلفة) لدى أفراد الدراسة وفقاً لمتغير الرتبة الأكاديمية (أستاذ مساعد/ أستاذ مشارك/ أستاذ). وأنه توجد فروق غير دالة إحصائياً في مستوى الاغتراب النفسي (وأبعاده المختلفة) لدى أفراد الدراسة.  وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى أنه توجد علاقة ارتباط عكسية بين جودة الحياة والاغتراب النفسي بمعامل ارتباط (-0.53 *) دال، وأن بعد جودة إدارة الوقت غير دال إحصائياً مع كل من بعدي (غياب المعنى، غياب المعايير (الأنومي) من أبعاد مقياس الاغتراب النفسي، كما كشفت عن وجود فروق غير دالة في كل من مقياس جودة الحياة وأبعاده لأفراد الدراسة تبعاً لمتغير الرتبة الأكاديمية للمشاركين. وتوجد فروق غير دالة في كل من مقياس الاغتراب النفسي وأبعاده لأفراد الدراسة تبعاً لمتغير الرتبة الأكاديمية للمشاركين من أفراد الدراسة.
                  The present study aimed to identify the relationship between quality of life and psychological estrangement among expatriate faculty members at King Saud University. The sample of the study was (63) expatriate faculty members. This study used the descriptive-analytical approach. This study used two scales the first is quality of life and the second is psychological alienation. The study proposed three hypotheses on the quality of life and the psychological alienation and their various dimensions among the sample of the study based on their academic rank such as assistant professor, associate professor, professor. The findings indicated that there is a negative correlation between the quality of life and psychological alienation with a correlation coefficient (*0.53). The time management quality dimension is statistically insignificant with “meaninglessness” and “Anomi normlessness” from the psychological alienation scale. Moreover, the study showed that there are no statistical differences in quality of life scale based on the academic rank among the sample of the study.
