Abstract:

The number of universities has been increased to accommodate regional development and the increase in the number of graduated students. The sufficiency and development of these newly founded universities, economic and social relations with the city in which they are founded and the contributions they make to each other have been gaining importance in understanding the quality of interactions between the universities and the cities. Of these components, none except the economic impact has a measurable characteristic. Moreover, the universities differ in terms of the features and needs of the region which they are founded in. This study examines progress of the universities founded between the years 2006 and 2008 since their founding, some of their problems and the interaction among universities and the cities.
