Abstract:

The study aims to analyze various contemporary theoretical approaches to the concept of social alienation in the light of digitization as a variable
New and its diffusion in all human societies, where contemporary sociologists have appeared questioning the problem of alienation in the light of the increasing use of modern means of communication. Through our reading of contemporary sociological literature on this problem, we have concluded that there are two currents that have attempted to address this problem, as for the first current to see that the modern means of communication has led to the emergence of new forms of alienation, while the second trend believes that modern means of communication have freed humanity from various forms of alienation.
