Abstract:

Since in wireless sensor network energy consumption is one of the most important challenges, using clustering models can be useful. In this structure, sensor nodes grouped in several cluster and one node selected as cluster head. Selecting the appropriate cluster head significantly reduces energy consumption in wireless sensor networks which is lead to prolong the network lifetime. Leap is a security protocol in wireless sensor network that using clustering, authentication and key management based on symmetric key algorithm in order to increase network security. Our proposed algorithm reform clustering relying on cluster key features based on time and energy consumption. For this propose, two threshold is defined. If key clustering creation and propagation time exceed the threshold, it is not suitable for cluster head then the probability of being cluster head is reduced by a, otherwise, added by a. Also if energy consumption of cluster key creation and propagation exceed the threshold, it is not suitable and probability of being cluster head is reduced by a, otherwise, added by a in order to improve this probability for next clustering round. So, energy consumption and delay is reduced and the network lifetime is prolonged.
