Abstract:

The article aimed to shed light on Saleh's role in handing over Sanaa. The article explained the policy of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh throughout his rule for Yemen, which is making conflicts between the two enemies , as he governs as he says "on the heads of snakes". This policy is the same that made him avenge the opponents of politicians who were the reason for his overthrow of the government in 2011 under the mantle of the armed group Houthis , the fall of Sana'a and the invasion of several provinces. The article tackled the tactical alliance between Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Houthis armed group, Saleh's role in the fall of Sanaa, and Saleh's strategy to eliminate Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar. The article also explained Saleh's relationship with the international plan for Yemen, why the forces of Abdullah Saleh melted whenever the Houthis progressed and draw near from its locations. Saleh's relationship with his son in Iran, and the most important items of Saleh's plan with the Houthis to mislead the Arab countries so not to fall under international accountability from the United Nations. The article concluded by analyzing the most important ways of control over Sanaa in the future, namely: the continuation of the alliance between Saleh and the Houthis as the Huthis entered into a war with al-Qaeda to present themselves as legitimate agents, or to break up Saleh's coalition with the Houthis.
