Abstract:

Worship in Islam can be done anywhere, at any time, regardless
of a specific time and place. However, in terms of the virtue of worship,
certain times and places are privileged. Ramadan, compared to other
months; Friday compared to other days; and the Nights of Qadr, Miraj,
Bara’at and Regaip compared to other nights, are considered more virtuous.
Likewise, Makkah, Madinah and Bayt al-Maqdis compared to other cities, and
particularly al-Masjid-i al-Haram, al-Masjid al-Nabawi and al-Masjid al-Aqsa
compared to other mosques, are considered more blessed and sacred. There
are many narrations about the virtues of worship in these mosques. The
critical approach and evaluation of these narrations is of paramount
importance in terms of justifying the importance and holiness that Muslims
attribute to these mosques. In this study, the narrations and practices
attributed to the Prophet about the virtues of worship in al-Aqsa Mosque are
discussed, and related narrations are examined and evaluated in terms of
isnad (chain of narration) and matn (text). It has been observed that some of
the aforementioned narrations are authentic, and a considerable part have
been considered weak by some hadith authority (in terms of jarh). Once the
hadiths related to the subject are evaluated as a whole, it can be
demonstrated that the beliefs and convictions that the worships performed
in al-Aqsa Mosque - with the exception of al-Masjid al-Haram and al-Masjid alNabawi - are more virtuous compared to other mosques, are not unfounded.

Mescid-i Aksâ’da ibadetin faziletine dair Hz.
