Abstract:

Religion played an important role in the life of the ancient Egyptian. There was no power that controlled his life as religion did. Through religion, he tried to explain the phenomena surrounding him. Religion was the first engine of the ancient Egyptian civilization. The ancient Egypt was religious in nature. This religiosity led him to pay more attention to the other world than to the worldly life or the mundane world. He also paid attention to the religious establishments of the "temples" more than to the civil institutions "dwellings".
The life of the ancient Egyptian was not only influenced by religion, but also mixed and blended with it. Nature was the first motive for the emergence of the religion. Man interpreted its phenomena, which he failed to understand, that they belong to a supernatural power. Unlike the natural phenomena and their influence on the ancient Egyptian thought, animals played an important role in the ancient Egyptian faith. The instinctive feeling of fear and frightened of all that is unknown is another reason to respect all of these forces that affect his life without knowing what it is..
