Abstract:

The main
purpose of the study is to examine the theoretical development of strategic
management is to uncover the most studied topics in literature and Turkey to
try to determine its position relative to other countries by putting forward
the existing indicators on the international arena. Within the scope of
bibliometric analysis; 40 conferences (1910 proceeding paper) under the title
of “strategic management” between 1975 and 2019 in the Web of Science
database and the studies published in the 5 most important journals (17187
articles) according to Google h-5 index were examined.

As a result of
the analysis, the most frequently repeated keywords were respectively;
performance, innovation, strategy, firm performance and resource dependency. In
addition, the link strength and frequency of repetition between these words
were determined. Countries were compared in terms of number of publications and
citations made by the number of citations and Turkey ranks 7th out of 66
countries in the ranking. In terms of the number of publications, it ranks
21st. It ranks 56th in terms of the ratio of the total number of citations to
the total number of publications. In addition, congresses in the field of
strategic management; in terms of number of Turkey-based studies were very
important but in terms of citation rate, articles published in scientific
journals has been found to be much more preferred.

Bibliyometrik analiz kapsamında Web of
