Abstract:

The novel, which is defined as a work that describes the events that may be experienced or may be experienced depending on time, place and people in harmony is a literary mirror that reflects the individual and society in various aspects. The novel which sheds light both on the internal and external world of the individual and the relationship of the individual with the society, constructs the subjects with a literary sensitivity. This sensitivity is manifested in the form of not distorting historical data, eroding social values and not breaking with realities; it gives the novel a literary value and makes the reader interested. However, it is not possible to see this literary sensitivity in novels written with strict ideological thinking. Because such novels act from a narrow point of view rather than considering literary, historical, social and religious sensitivities and construct events, time, places and characters which are the basic elements of the novel. In fact, the art of novel is a free literary genre that is in favor of change, offering the reader different horizons and embracing innovations. These points pointed out for the novel are not seen in ideological novels which are quite closed to change and do not include different literary styles both technically and thematically. Some of the novels written by the thought mentioned are Abdurrahman Munîf's Ummu’n-nuzûr and Orhan Kemal's Hanımın Çiftliği. Abdurrahman Munîf's novels Ummu’n-nuzûr and Orhan Kemal's Hanımın Çiftliği may serve as an example of the type of novel written with the mentioned ideological thought. Written with a strict ideological thought rather than literary sensitivity, these novels construct the hero they play the role of the clergyman in a demonic character - due to the strict socialist ideology of their writers. These novels, which construct the clergy with moral weaknesses such as violent tendencies, profanity, dishonesty, opportunists and deceiving society, are evaluated in a critical language in our study. In addition, it is mentioned how the moral weaknesses mentioned are constructed and how such fiction takes these novels away from a literary line. In these novels, it is thought that the clergy has an extremely negative profile and that the writers have a strict socialist thinking. These novels, which construct the clergy with violent tendencies, abusive, cowardly, dishonest, opportunist, drunkard, fond, and cheating society, are evaluated in a critical language in our study. At this point, the prominent themes in each novel were selected and firstly how these themes were constructed by the relevant novels was mentioned, and then, within the scope of thematic criticism, it was clearly indicated what kind of drawbacks a fiction in this sense had in both social and religious points. In this article, in addition to thematic analysis, technical analysis is also carried out, and in this sense, it is mentioned how these fictions are fictionalized and how such fiction takes these novels away from a literary line and in this sense they become weak works. It is thought that this study which points to the novels that denigrate the clergyman for ideological reasons with an example from Arab and Turkish literature will shed light on the relationship between novel and ideology.

ve Orhan Kemal’in Hanımın Çiftliği adlı romanlarıdır. Abdurrahman
Munîf’in Ummu’n-nuzûr ve Orhan Kemal’in Hanımın Çiftliği adlı romanları, sözü
edilen ideolojik düşünceyle yazılmış roman türüne örnek olabilirler. Zira her
