Abstract:

It should be said that the function of ideology in determining the culture and identity of the society as a mental guiding tool is not limited to the modern period, but also exists to a large extent in the pre-modern times. As a matter of fact, it is possible to detect the close relationship between ideology, culture and identity phenomena in different periods from the prehistoric age to the modern age. In this regard, our aim is to trace the relationship between ideology, culture and identity in the pre-modern period. Our study is a research aimed at revealing the nature of the relationship between the dominant ideological form, which has religious, political and patriarchal content, with the cultural and identity phenomena in the primitive ages and in Ancient Greece and Rome.
