Abstract:

In the article “Sinemasal Deneyim” (Filmic Experience) (2009), which had quite an impact in film studies, Francesco Casetti explores the experience of the spectator in front of the screen rather than focusing on cinema, with its developing technology and production systems, and the impact that cinema has produced. Today the experience of viewing a film is shifting from theatres to other arenas. Casetti opens a window to this transition and discusses in detail the position of film studies in the context of recent developments.

Geniş yankı uyandıran Sinemasal Deneyim (Filmic Experience, 2009) yazısında Francesco Casetti, sinemayı geliştirdiği teknoloji, üretim sistemleri, filmler ve yarattığı etki bağlamında değil; yalnızca seyircinin perde karşısında yaşadığı deneyimle ilgili olarak ele almaya çalışıyor. İzleme deneyiminin sinema salonlarından başka mecralara kaydığı günümüzde bir sorgulamanın kapılarını aralayan Casetti, ayrıntılı olarak açıkladığı bu yeni gelişmeler karşısında sinema araştırmalarının kendini nasıl konumlandırması gerektiğine dair kapsamlı bir tartışma yürütüyor.
