This study aims to shed light on the role played by the Internet and its applications in marketing the services of public reading libraries. This is after most of its services were provided only at the library headquarters, which aimed to encourage the culture of reading, as a type of service provided to the Algerian individual. This transition made those in charge of managing libraries, in a challenge to introduce their services in a new environment. The study indicated the nature of the electronic services of public reading libraries, and how to employ marketing principles to introduce them. The study reached results centered around the necessity of involving the elements of the marketing mix to draw up a policy to introduce and value the electronic services provided by public reading libraries in Algeria, in addition to the positives and negatives expected from providing services in this new environment.
