 يعد التراث على اختلاف أشكاله وأنواعه مبعث فخر للأمم حيت يعتبر ركيزة أساسية لها لأنه يمثل الجذور الضاربة في أعماقها وضميرها الحي فلا تتقدم ولا تخطو خطوة نحو الأمام إلا بالرجوع إلى تراثها ومحاولة إحياءه، لقد أصبح التراث مصدرا رئيسيا لكل الدراسات الحديثة فهو بذلك المخزون الحضاري لتجارب السلف في مختلف دروب الحياة.
   وتعتبر اللوحة الفنية خير سفير لمختلف الشعوب التي تشهد على ثقافته وأصالته، وهنا بآتي دور اللوحة الفنية التي تستلهم التراث لتقدم لنا خطابا إبداعيا معاصر، وتصبح بذلك لغة عالمية للحوار والتواصل محملة برموز وأشكال وقراءات قد شكلت جزء من طرق المحافظة على التراث وإبراز مكانته في المجتمع، كما لا ننسى الدور الذي قام به الفنان الجزائري بصفة عامة والفنان أحمد خليلي بصفة خاصة في إحياء التراث الجزائري، وخلصنا في نهاية الدراسة إلى أن العلاقة بين التراث والفن التشكيلي علاقة تكاملية.
Heritage, in its various forms and types, is a source of pride for nations, as it is considered a fundamental pillar for it because it represents the roots that are deep in its depths and its conscience, so it does not advance and does not take a step forward except by returning to its heritage and trying to revive it.  Heritage has become a major source of all modern studies, as it is the cultural repository of the experiences of predecessors in various paths of life. The artistic painting is considered the best ambassador for the various peoples that attest to its culture and originality, and here it has become a role for the artistic painting that inspires heritage to present us with a contemporary creative speech to become a global language for dialogue and communication loaded with symbols, forms and readings that have formed part of ways to preserve the heritage and highlight its place in society.                  
    We also do not forget the role played by the Algerian artist in general and the artist Ahmed Khalili in particular, and we concluded at the end of the study that the relationship between heritage and plastic art is an integral relationship.
