The study aimed at identifying the advantages and the disadvantages of adopting small and medium sized travel and tourism companies in Jordan for the electronic marketing. The results showed that the majority of the companies, about (90%) use at least one application of the e-marketing applications. However, they were considered late adoption companies, where only 12% were found to be early adopters. The study also pointed out that the e-marketing adoption includes increasing the ability of companies to reach the international markets and contribute to an interactive relationship with customers. Moreover, the e-marketing increases the sales and saves time, effort and costs. The obstacles of the e-marketing adoption included the difficulty of its application and the unsuitability and the nature of work in addition to the high costs of its application.
