Abstract:

The research aims to illustrate a verse in Quran: al-Nur verse* (The verse of light) in Surat al-Nur in order to reveal the secrets of figurative eloquent meanings and its great effects. The research is divided into two sections; the first one is about tackling the meaning of Allah's saying (Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth) including two requirements which are the relation between Allah's saying (Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth) and the verses before it and the definition of Light in Quran and its uses. The second section tackles the mentioned example in Allah`s saying: (The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp), the verse 35 of Surat al-Nur. The research is based on the analytical approach.
The research results prove that the name of light is one of the names of Allah Almighty. In addition, the verse 35 of Surat al-Nur indicates great figurative meanings as He Almighty is the founder of all that is reflected in light. The examples of Quran exceeds the level of people in terms of clear words, figurative strong meanings, good style and comprehensive characteristics. Quran includes images of figurative language such as metaphor, metonymy, simile and other rhetorical meanings mentioned by Allah Almighty in his holy book. The results show the special importance of the light verse as its words have been arranged in a way that each word is in its proper place, which is not acceptable to others. The light verse talks about examples which are considered to be a rhetorical art that the Holy Quran considers.
Quran has used tools for accurate imaging to revive real animated images in the human imagination not only to address the senses but to address the minds and hearts also, affecting them strongly..
