Abstract:

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk followed important policies in the field of education, thinking that a nation that gained its independence should also ensure this in the field of science and culture. Within the scope of these policies in the field of education, students continued to be sent abroad and important steps were taken in the fields of history and culture. Within these policies, sending a large number of students abroad in many fields has pioneered remarkable developments. These developments led to the emergence of important names with their scientific studies in the later stages of history. Within the scope of Mustafa Kemal Atatürks mission of historical and cultural development, these names, who returned to Anatolia after their studies abroad, brought new breaths and inventions to archaeological, philological and museological studies. Solutions and suggestions are presented on issues such as institutionalisation in the field of archaeology, cultural problems in Anatolia, the return of artefacts belonging to these lands to their homeland, and the systematic excavation system in classical archaeology. The fact that the foundations of the information age have breezes from Anatolia, the recovery of the artefacts belonging to these lands, the determinations that the civilisations of historical periods lived in Anatolia through linguistic studies have been created with the identities of these names as museologists and linguists as well as archaeologists. This study includes Arif Müfid Mansel, Ekrem Akurgal, Sedat Alp and Jale İnan, who adopted Mustafa Kemal Atatürks History Thesis and adopted the Republic of Science by conducting archaeological studies in this context, leaving their mark on history, which is the cultural memory of Anatolia.
