Abstract:

This article attempts to explore a fundamental topic, which is the representationality of thought in new poetic sensitivity models, through two poetic works: "I Don't Want This Poem to End" by Mahmoud Darwich and "The Beginning of the Body, the End of the Sea" by Adonis. We aim here to answer a fundamental question about how poetry represents its own thought and the nature of the aesthetic sites that achieve this representation and the dimensions that appear through it. The multiplicity at the level of manifestations and representation sites requires adopting a poetic hermeneutic approach that allows for the formation of a reading that tracks the symbolic signification of the text and establishes an open critical dialogue with it. This reading concluded that the representationality of thought is achieved through the indicative horizon formed by linguistic shifts, poetic image ambiguities, and the voices of poetic writing in which the subjective, abstract, and concrete are blended in one crucible. This representationality reveals a poetic ambition to root a universal intellectual horizon in which poetry embraces human concerns in a time when human suffering and questions are being obscured.
