Abstract:

The article discussed the symbol and confusion in the novel "The Stranger" by "Albert Camus." The research is distributed to the following themes:
The first theme identified the novel "The Stranger" and its importance and fame in the world of literature. The study then presented the philosophical inspiration that was included in the novel as a presentation of the philosophy of the writer (the philosophy of absurdity) and then talked about indifference and destiny among the qualities of "Meursault," the hero of the novel, which made him a vague human. We then discussed the hero of the novel's belief in the material sense, and again as a primitive man who is not good in the game of social hypocrisy. As custom and habituation as a philosophical subject related to man have taken a large share of the characters of the novel in general, names also carried mysterious and coded secrets and signals from "Camus," and we tried to uncover them in this research.
