Abstract:

The reformist and hard-line Islamic political discourse is of great importance at the academic, media and research centers at the Arab and international levels, and even by decision-making circles in the Arab and Western regimes. There are many studies that seek to analyze the structure of this discourse and the history of contemporary Islamic movements, but these interpretations are still hostage to an ideological background, and captive to preconceived visions and considerations.
In order to overcome this problem, it is necessary to examine the restrictive interpretations that affect the phenomenon of political Islam, and not to accept the ready-made and ideological perceptions that judge this phenomenon as irrational and terrorism, and to demand restrictions on these movements, and to clarify the reality of the political orientations of contemporary Islamic currents in thought and practice, and exposure to concepts such as Democracy, extremism and moderation, and the view of Islamic currents.
