Abstract:

The process of industrialization led to the adaptation of the creative effects that individuals touched on society to take the adaptive reactions of the big companies, and therefore the heuristics used in different situations to become generalized to modern practices when the result was reached. The fact that football has become a major industry in the last century has made it compulsory to understand all modern business concepts in terms of club management. Among these concepts, the turnover of the professional staff and the transfer of the managers of the clubs is a research area that should be examined in terms of the coachs entrusted to the football teams. The aim of this study is to examine whether the change of coach is directly reflected in team performance. Professional football coaching change in the 6 teams was examined in the season between 2003-2016 for the collection of data within the scope of his research in Turkey Super League season. In the study, the mean score of the five games before and after the coach change, the average change from the beginning of the season to the change of coach and the change from the coach to the end of the season were calculated and their percentage values were calculated. As a result of the calculations, it was observed that the coach change made in the middle of the season increased the score in the five-game period and until the end of the season. When the average of the average value of the team performance score points is examined, it is seen that there is an increase of 55.1% in the five-game period and 30.44% in the period until the end of the season. As a result, coach changes in the middle of the season increased the performance of the team in the short term, and this increase continued in the last period until the end of the season. However, it could not be determined that this increase provided a sustainable point advantage for the team. Therefore, very often lasting success of Turkey among the countries which experienced a coaching change is considered necessary to develop different strategies to achieve behalf.
