 لقد تغير عمل البنوك وبشكل جذري على مر السنوات الماضية وسوف يتغير أكثر في السنوات المقبلة على أساس ظهور مجموعة جديدة من المؤسسات التي شرعت في تقديم المعروض التقليدي للبنوك من الخدمات: ودائع متنوعة وقروض متعددة إلى درجة أصبحت أغلب الشركات المالية غير البنكية تستطيع توفير الغالبية العظمى من المنتجات والخدمات التي تقدمها البنوك، وبالتالي فإن فكرة البنك كوسيط مالي أصبحت تواجه حاليا تحديات كبيرة وملحة بسبب تغير وسائل الدفع التقليدية وظهور وتطور وسائل الدفع الالكترونية.
وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إبراز  خصوصية عمل البنوك في الاقتصاديات المختلفة سواء كانت اقتصاديات قائمة على المديونية كالجزائر أو على الأسواق المالية مع توضيح وتحليل تغير وتراجع دورها  نتيجة ظهور مؤسسات غير بنكية منافسة لها خاصة في ظل التغيرات والتطورات في النظم المالية العالمية مع الإشارة لبعض النظم المتطورة وعلى رأسها الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
	
Abstract :Banking  has changed radically over the past years and can be change more within the  coming  years on the idea of the emergence of a vareity of instituations that provide traditionel services to banks : deposits and loans to such an extent that  the majority non- banks    financial firms provide the overwhelming majority of products and services provided by banks. In order that the banks idea as financial broker is now challenged by the change in traditional means of payment and therefore the emergence and development of electronic means of

	The aim of this study is to highlight specificity of banks add different economies: debt economics such as Algeria or financial market economics, althoug their role has changed a result of emergence of competing now-bank instituations especially within the light of developments within the global financial systems, with referance to some advenced banking system especially the Unated States ( U.S.A) .
