Abstract:

 The present study aimed to assess the level of burnout among nurses and volunteers working in the isolation unit during the COVID-19 pandemic in the city of Zliten. The researcher employed the descriptive survey method and used the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) as the primary instrument for data collection. The questionnaire was administered to all nurses and volunteers at the isolation center in Zliten, totaling 31 participants (100% of the study population) during the year 2020/2021. The validity and reliability of the instrument were verified. After applying the appropriate statistical analyses, the study yielded the following results: The participants experienced a moderate level of burnout, attributed to the professional and emotional pressures associated with the spread of COVID-19. The z-test results showed no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level in burnout levels according to gender or marital status. Similarly, the Kruskal-Wallis test also revealed no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level in burnout levels according to educational qualification and work shift.
