Abstract:

SA 8000 Social
Accountability Standard has emerged for businesses aiming to guarantee the
basic rights of employees. The fundamental rights of workers are freedom of
association and right to collective bargaining, child labor, wages,
discrimination, working hours, forced and compulsory labor, health and safety, and
discipline. These are the basic requirements of SA 8000 standard.

SA 8000
standard’s regularly updated to ensure its continued applicability to new and
emerging social and human rights issues. The transition  from SA 8000: 2008 to SA 8000: 2014 began on 1
January 2016. In this study, the SA 8000: 2014 version is examined.

The aim of this
study is to evaluate the working life according to the renewed SA 8000: 2014
Standard. The requirements of the standard will be examined together with the
national legislation in Turkey. The SA 8000 Standard explains the benefits of
society, employees, the state and employers.

sağlamak için düzenli olarak güncellenmektedir. SA 8000: 2008'den SA 8000:
2014'e geçiş dönemi, 1 Ocak 2016'da başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada, SA 8000: 2014
versiyonu incelenmektedir.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yenilenen SA 8000: 2014
Sosyal Sorumluluk Standardına göre çalışma yaşamını değerlendirmektir.
Standardın gerekliliklerini, Türkiye’deki ulusal yasalar ile birlikte
incelenecektir. Bununla birlikte,  SA
8000: 2008 standardı ile SA 8000: 2014 standardı arasındaki değişiklikler ele
alınacaktır.  SA 8000 Sosyal Sorumluluk
Standardının topluma, çalışanlara, devlete ve işverenlere sağlayacağı faydalar
açıklanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, SA 8000 standardının birçok işletmede uygulanması
gerektiği savunulmaktadır.
