Abstract:

Every scholar has follows a unique approach when making classification or compiling book the same as what Hadith scholars traditionally follow.. However, several of them did not have a salient approach in their works. Accordingly, many others who followed suit were honored in identifying this approach and relating it to the prophet’s followers.
On top of those scholars is Shiekh An –Nisaiy whose approach in his book (As-Sunan Al- Kubra) was not revealed.
Therefore, I decided to carry out a research of his book hoping to reveal certain aspects of his scholarly approach. The outcome of my study falls into the following chapters:
Chapter One: Brief biography of An-Nisaiy (may his soul rest in peace).
Chapter Two: Rank of As-Sunan Al Kubra among Sunnah books- Scholars’ praise and An- Nisaiy’s contributions.
Chapter Three: Expressions of performance.
Chapter Four: Hadith compilers.
Chapter Five: Expressions of violations and modification.
Chapter Six: An –Nisaiy’s approach in verification and proof.
Chapter Seven: Assessment, comment and reasons for Hadith disregard.
Conclusion and Recommendations.
