Abstract:

The current study aims to examine the relationship between the level of ambition and the psychological health of secondary school level students. The main hypothesis of the study is that: There is no statistically substantiated differences between the students with high ambition and those of low ambition in relation to their psychological health. To test the correctness of the hypotheses we have relied upon the descriptive method, just as we have employed two tools to collect data. They are the ambition level measure prepared by Kamilya Abd ul-Fattah, and this is in relation to the variable of the future. As for the dependent variable, then we have adopted the psychological health measure of Ibtisam Ahmad Al-‘Umrain. A sample of 250 male and female students was formed from secondary level students of “An-Najaah” school. For statistical processing we used the SPSS program. We undertook a test to measure the differences between the two variables and the “T” test to denote that the differences of the two sample averages were not connected.
