Abstract:

Varlık, düşünce ve dilin sınırları klasik

mantık tarafından kendisine özgü birtakım

ilkeler ile belirlenmiştir. Bu kuralların ötesine

teşne olan her şey mantıki açıdan mantık dışı

olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu nedenle mantık

evrensel olmak bakımından, varolan bir şeyin

düşünülmesi ve dil ile ifadesinde kesinlikten

yana olup, varlık, düşünce ve dilin mutlaklığını

tahrip edecek her türlü zihin ve dil oyunlarına,

yani paradoks ve mecazlara karşıdır. Mecazi

ifadelerin en meşhuru olan metafor ise bir

yandan mantık kurallarını ve özellikle de

“Özdeşlik İlkesi”ni ihlal ederken diğer yandan

da bir mantık çıkmazı olan paradoks ile

yakınlaşarak mantık ile arasındaki uçuruma

daha fazla derinlik kazandırmaktadır. Bu

çalışmada, hem mantığı hem de metaforu

teferruatlı bir biçimde çalışma alanı yapan ve

hemen her disiplindeki eserleriyle felsefi

otoritesini ispatlamış bir filozof olan Aristoteles

üzerinden metaforun mantığa başkaldırısını

inceleyeceğiz. Son olarak da metaforun,

mantığa isyanını pekiştireceğimiz, paradoksal

ifadelerle yakınlığını Elealı Zenon’un ünlü

paradoksları eşliğinde ele alacağız.

Anahtar Kelimeler: Aristoteles, Zenon, Metafor, Mantık, Özdeşlik İlkesi, Paradoks.

Limits of existence, thought and

language are specified by classic logic with its

distinctive principals. Everything which is

beyond these rules is accepted as illogical in

terms of logic. Therefore, in terms of being

universal, logic stands with accuracy in thinking

and expressing something with language and; is

aganist all mind and language games, namely;

paradox and metaphor which destroy the

absoluteness of existence, thought and

language. On the one hand metaphor, which is

the most famous one of metaphorical

statements violates rules of logic especially “Law

of identity”, on the other hand, it gets close to

paradox which is a logic aporia and causes to

increase the depth in the cliff which is between

logic and metaphore. In this study, we analyze

the revolt of metaphor against logic in terms of

philosopher Aristotle, a philosopher who

studied both logic and metaphor in a detailed

way and proved his authority with his

philosophical works one almost all disciplines.

In conclusion, we deal with the revolt of

metaphor against logic and famous paradoxes

of Zeno of Elea.

Key Words: Aristotle, Zeno, Metaphor, Logic, Law of İdentity, Paradox
