Abstract:

The goal of the study is to lessen the effects of climate change on tourist industry by introducing them or try to decide the measures that can be taken to abolish these effects. Antalya was selected as the case study place. The total field under survey is the 4 and 5stars hotels with 1st class (5 stars) and 2nd class (4 stars) holiday resorts. It was aimed to contact to each out of 326 managers that constitute the total field under survey. The questionnaire technique was used on these managers to collect data for the study. The collected data was analyzed by using frequency analysis, t test, chi square and ANOVA tests. The significance level was accepted as 0,05 and the results were evaluated according to it. The results of the study showed that the majority of the tourist accommodations were affected from climate change. Nevertheless, it was understood that only half of the managers took measures against climate change. When the ranges of measures that are taken by the managers were examined, it was seen that these measures were focused on some basic precautions and majority of managements hadn't had an environmental policy and an action plan yet.
