Abstract:

Family Social Support Program (ASDEP) is one of the newest services emerging in the field of social services especially in recent years. Until the emergence of ASDEP, demand-oriented services were at the forefront in the field of social work, while a new perspective was brought to social work with ASDEP. With this program, families who are thought to be at risk but cannot access social services and social assistance are prioritized. For this reason, this program has an important place in the services provided to families. In our country, it is ensured that families are supported on psychosocial and socioeconomic needs, one-to-one social work reviews are carried out in the family's living environment and as a result of these reviews, necessary guidance and direction are provided according to the needs of the household. In addition, ASDEP service is provided within the Social Service Centers (SHM), one of the social service organizations. ASDEP is currently Turkey's 81 provinces since 2017 continues. Staff members of ASDEP are graduates of Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Child Development and Family and Consumer Sciences. In this context, in our study, it is aimed to clearly understand the ASDEP process from the perspective of social work by focusing on what ASDEP is, its emergence process and its current situation. For this purpose, the literature review and the data of the Ministry of Family and Social Services were used.
