Abstract:

This paper investigates one of the most well-chronicled, and well-documented stories in the Qur'an; the story of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), particularly in the Chapters (Suras) of Al-Baqrah and Ibrahim due to the extensive similarity between their verses.
One of my objectives in this study is to rebut those who claim that A) there is a meaningless redundancy in the stories of the Holy Qur'an, and B) these stories are merely a figment of imagination (Allah forbid). This is an outrageous allegation if it was directed at the words of a poet and an eloquent orator, and it is even more so when it is directed at Allah’s holy words that render all people speechless, as they can never create something to match His words. Allah Almighty said: {Allah - there is no deity except Him. He will surely assemble you for [account on] the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. And who is more truthful than Allah in statement.} (the chapter of Al-Nisaa-87). He also said {But the ones who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. [It is] the promise of Allah, [which is] truth, and who is more truthful than Allah in statement.} (the chapter of Al-Nissaa-122).
Moreover, there is a discussion of some aspects of prophet Ibrahim's life, and no wonder, as he is the grandfather of all prophets. Allah chose him, and he was an obedient, allegiant and upright Muslim. All earlier nations claimed having a kinship to him, but Allah has rejected these claims by replying: {Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was one inclining toward truth, a Muslim [submitting to Allah]. And he was not of the polytheists.} (the chapter of Al-i-'Imran-67(.
The research is divided as follows: a preface, an introduction, four chapters, and a conclusion.
Preamble: it explains the reason for choosing this topic, the approach that I adopted, and the research plan.

Introduction: it includes the main story, the difference between Qur'anic and other kinds of stories, the types of Qur'anic stories, and the secrets of repeating Qur'anic stories.
The first section: the aspects of Ibrahim’s life that is covered in the Qur'anic story.
The second section: The connection between Ibrahim’s story and the purposes of the Chapters of Al-Baqarah and Ibrahim.
The third section: The purposes of Ibrahim’s story in the Chapters of Al-Baqarah and Ibrahim.
The fourth section: The similarities in content and style in the Chapters of Al-Baqarah and Ibrahim.
Conclusion: it lists the paper’s important findings and recommendations.
