Abstract:

 In 495/1101 AD, the Mazidis founded the city of Hillah at the hands of Sayf al-Dawla Sadaqah ibn Baha al-Dawla al-Mazidi, who “was considered the greatest ruler of this emirate, and he controlled southern Iraq, and his influence extended to the capital of the Caliphate, Baghdad itself.
