Abstract:

Holloway built his philosophy on Adorno's negative dialectic. The Zapatistas, on the other hand, have a movement and philosophy that has traces of Holloway as well as Adorno. Adorno's dialectic is open-ended, Holloway's Marxism is anti-society, the Zapatistas' movement involves walking by asking and questioning. In this study, concepts such as Trontist reversal, non-identity, refuse, scream, and autonomism are discussed and the projections of these concepts in Zapatist practice are questioned. Although Lukacs placed Adorno at the Grand Hotel Abyss, Holloway revealed the political interpretation in Adorno. It can be said that there are philosophical similarities between the Zapatistas and Adorno. This study, which aims to reveal the relationship between Adorno, Holloway, open Marxism, and the Zapatist movement, can also be read as an introduction to current debates.
