Abstract:

Linguistics is a term that indicates a new trend in linguistic research. Linguistics did not have a specific term at the beginning, as there were many names for it even among Arab scholars. It is concerned with studying many aspects related in its entirety to the text in form and content. The most important of which are coherence its means and types, references and its types, textual context and the role of the participants in the text. The function of linguistic text is limited to interest in the structure of linguistic texts and its use. Thus the linguistic texts seek to establish the study of language on the basis of text only.
