Abstract:

Since the French colonization to Algeria in 1830, the colonial administration has mocked all the loyal and political procedures to implement successive settlement policies in order to make Algeria a French settlement which gather the immigrants of all races and the arrivals from Europe speculators and business men who did not hesitate to put pressure on the French colonial administration so as to pass an arsenal of the legislation which facilitate stealing the finest land and wrestling them according to the plane for a pre -study of the Algerian circumstances and their social, economic and cultural situation. Therefore the third republic encouraged investment in agriculture and encouraged French and European companies to invest their money in different projects; settlers also focused in agriculture because of its importance in supporting colonization and French earning that is why the French administration deliberated to support them with basic structures and settlements and promote loans and facilitate to give them more of Algerian lands and exploiting the colonies economy to serve the French interests. This led to the destruction of the private agricultural sector and increased the living standards of the population.
