 This study was conducted to determine the impact of the Womens Issues and Social Work course, offered during the Spring Semester in the Social Work Department of Afyon Kocatepe University, on social work students perceptions of gender and to evaluate its relationship with certain variables. A total of 42 voluntary students participated in the research. The study was planned within the framework of a quasi-experimental design, employing a single-group pre-test and post-test model. A socio-demographic information form and the Gender Perception Scale were used to collect the data. The results indicated that participants gender perceptions were high based on both pre-test and post-test results, and the Womens Issues and Social Work course did not cause any significant change in their gender perceptions. The study found a significant relationship between gender and gender perception; however, no significant relationships were observed between gender perception and prior gender equality education, perceived academic achievement, family structure, or interest in social issues. Given the malleability of gender perception, it is recommended to increase the quality and quantity of awareness-raising and consciousness-building educational programs, particularly targeting male students, and to conduct impact analyses of these programs.

 Bu araştırma Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Sosyal Hizmet Bölümünde Bahar Döneminde verilen Kadın Sorunları ve Sosyal Hizmet Dersinin sosyal hizmet öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet algısına etkisini belirlemek ve bazı değişkenlerle arasındaki ilişkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiş olup, araştırmaya 42 gönüllü öğrenci katılım sağlamıştır. Araştırma, yarı-deneysel model çerçevesinde planlanmış, tek grup ön test-son test kullanılmıştır. Verilerin elde edilmesinde sosyo-demografik bilgi formu ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada katılımcıların öntest ve sontest sonuçlarına göre toplumsal cinsiyet algısının yüksek olduğu, Kadın Sorunları ve Sosyal Hizmet dersinin katılımcıların toplumsal cinsiyet algısı üzerinde farklılığa neden olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu araştırmaya göre cinsiyet ile toplumsal cinsiyet algısı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmakta olup, daha önce toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği eğitimi alma, algılanan akademik başarı düzeyi, aile yapısı ve sosyal sorunlara ilgi düzeyi arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamaktadır. Toplumsal cinsiyet algısının değişebilirliği göz önünde bulundurulduğunda özellikle erkeklere yönelik bilinçlendirme ve farkındalığa dayalı eğitimlerin nitelik ve nicelik olarak artırılması ve etki analizlerinin yapılması önerilmektedir.
