Abstract:

In this paper, the researcher uses the input-output analysis technique (I-O-A) as an analytical tool in the quantitative economy with the available mathematical methods to analyze the sectorial interindustry in a static model to identify the key sectors of the national economy. Albert Hirschman's unbalanced growth strategy in patterns of economic development has evolved into an explanation of how the development process should be based. Which is mainly based on the interrelationship between productive sectors, where sectors are interlinked in ways that can serve as a database for decision-makers and economic policymakers to take into account when deciding on an economic development strategy. The strategy depends on a range of key sectors to which investments are directed and which will drag and pull the remaining sectors into growth. The study focused on the analysis of five Algerian derived inputs-outputs tables for the period 2001-2004, 2007, 2009 and 2011 covering a period of a decade, which showed that there are more than five sectors according to the mechanisms of the forward and backward linkages were classified as key sectors that can play a pivotal role in the Algerian economy and has the power to make the unbalanced growth strategy successful.
