Abstract:

In this article, John Rawls' theories of political liberalism, the practices
of Turkish political life will be theoretically examined. It will focus on the
question of whether it is feasible in the Turkish society outside of Western and
American societies, in particular in terms of the "fundamental values of political
liberalism" that John Rawls has theorized. Rawls has established the theory of
political liberalism, particularly in the context of liberal values that American
political life has attained, and in constitutional societies. According to Rawls, it
is unlikely that all these doctrines are compatible with each other, but they are
incompatible with each other, and that all the doctrines coexist, and that all of
them approve the political conception of a constitutional regime. For this
reason, theoretically, it is aimed to evaluate the political structure of the society
with the practices of Turkish political life from the intellectual point of view.

Bu makalede,  John Rawls’un
siyasal liberalizm değerleri açısından,  Türk siyasal yaşamı, toplumsal yapısı ve uygulamaları
kuramsal olarak incelenecektir.
Özellikle John Rawls’un kuramsallaştırmış olduğu, “siyasal liberalizmin temel
değerleri”açısından, Batı ve Amerikan toplumları dışında yer alan Türk
toplumunda da uygulanabilir(mi) sorunsalı üzerinde durulacaktır. Rawls, siyasal
liberalizm kuramını, özellikle Amerikan siyasal yaşamının ulaşmış olduğu liberal
değerler çerçevesinde ve anayasal toplumlarda gerçekleşebileceği üzerine
kurmuştur.  Rawls’a göre, diğer toplumlar
