 إن ارتباط مبدأ الإثراء بلا سبب بفكرة العدالة وقيامه عليها جعله حاكما على أنماط مختلفة من العلاقات القانونية المتسمة بالاختلال في التوازن المالي بين أطرافها، وهذا ما دفع بالنظم القانونية الرئيسة في العالم إلى الاعتراف به، وتنظيمه بين مصادر الالتزام وبيان أركانه وشروط تطبيقه وموانعه، ولم يعد هذا المبدأ حبيسا في إطار التشريعات المدنية العالمية بل انتقل إلى ميدان القانون الإداري، وشهد تطبيقات عملية من قبل القضاء الإداري حتى استقر مصدرا من مصادر الالتزام في النظم القانونية الداخلية شق سبيله إلى النطاق الدولي وقواعده القانونية. وإذا كانت العدالة جوهر كل قاعدة قانونية، فإن القانون الدولي لا يحيد عنها، فهو يبتغي إرساء علاقات قانونية متزنة بين أطرافها الدوليين على أساس من العدل والإنصاف. وإن كانت القواعد القانونية الدولية لم تصل إلى مرحلة التفصيل الدقيق لمصادر الالتزام على غرار القوانين المدنية الوطنية فلم يرد مبدأ الإثراء بلا سبب مصدرا منشئا للالتزام الدولي بصورة صريحة لحد الآن، إلا إن تحقق إثراء شخص دولي وافتقار آخر مع انعدام سبب قانوني يجانب العدالة المنشودة في العلاقات الدولية مما ينشأ التزاما برد الإثراء وإعادة الحال إلى ما كان عليه. ومن هنا يمكن تصور وقوع حالات الإثراء بلا سبب لأشخاص القانون الدولي بصور مختلفة، قد يكون مصاحبا للأفعال غير المشروعة دوليا، وقد يكون مستقلا في العلاقات الدولية.
                  The connection of the principle of enrichment without reason to the idea of justice and to make it the ruler of different types of legal relations characterized by imbalance of financial balance between the parties, and this led to the world's major legal systems to recognize, and organization between the sources of commitment and the structure and conditions of application and prohibitions, and no longer This principle was enshrined in the framework of international civil legislation, but moved to the field of administrative law, and witnessed practical applications by the administrative judiciary until it settled a source of commitment in the domestic legal systems, breaking its path to the international scope and its legal rules. If justice is the essence of every rule of law, international law does not deviate from it. It seeks to establish balanced legal relations among its international actors on a fair and equitable basis. Although international legal norms have not yet reached the stage of careful detailing of the sources of compliance along the lines of national civil law, the principle of enrichment without cause has so far not been a source of international commitment so far as to enrich an international person and another lack of legal cause Which creates an obligation to restore enrichment and restore the status quo. Hence, cases of illicit enrichment of persons of international law can be conceived in various forms, which may be accompanied by internationally wrongful acts and may be independent in international relations.
