Abstract:

ABSTRACT
“ She got her parturition on one of the dark December nights, She gave the birth on a carpet covering the floor in the bedroom, and she cut the birth rope of salvation with her hands on the light of a Lantern which its bottle was broken and laden with soot, She did not see his luminous and thin face very well at that difficult time nor did his father who was wading (fighting) in the tame water which located between the land of Iraq and the land of Kuwait, but his father's wives came to him after the bombing stopped between one raid and another, and the safety whistle rang, and I saw him sleeping in a cradle on the morning light coming from the window, ''how beautiful a lantern child is !'' she said one to the other”.
Perhaps in this extract which is taken from the novel, the prophecy of Pharaoh for the great Iraqi novelist ''MaysaloonHadi ''. This reflects the extent to which the Iraqi novel uses ethnography with distinction. In a way that made us take our intervention, the following narrative examples are drawn from this fragmented model and the narrative examples that followed in the novel published in the First edition about the Arab Foundation for Studies and Publishing in 2007, a ride to find out the ethnographic feature that MaysalounHadi sought to adopt, in a wonderful description, there is an archive of important events that she knew from the history of Iraq, the Kuwaiti war, the siege of Iraq and the fall of Baghdad, and he described it as an excellent description before the fall, in a way that saves the narrative's dignity to employ the Folk tales from folklore, Including what took place in the " The House of ruin." and the "House of Fortune teller", reflecting beliefs and the prevailing social relations elegance.
