 There are valuable studies on the position of women in Buddhism, however very few studies on the position of women in Old Turkic texts. It is understood from these studies that the position of women in Buddhism was not initially viewed positively. The Buddha proclaimed that Buddhism would end five hundred years earlier if women became nuns. The reason for this is that women are the basis of all evil. In this context, in the Old Turkic text Daśakarmapathāvadānamālā  DKPAM, which deals with the ten wholesome and unwholesome ways of acting, the representation of the female corpse and the conception of the ugly are treated together. The four types of passion Skt. rāga and the nine types of conception of the ugly Skt. aśubhasaṃjñā play an essential role. The purpose of this research is to establish the order of the different categories of the nine conceptions of ugliness in the DKPAM and to analyze in more detail the passions against which they work.

 Budizmde kadının konumuna dair değerli çalışmalar mevcuttur: ancak Eski Türkçe metinlerde kadının konumuna dair çok az çalışma mevcuttur. Bu çalışmalardan Budizmde kadının konumuna başlangıçta olumlu bakılmadığı anlaşılmaktadır. Buddha, kadınların rahibe olması durumunda Budizmin beş yüz yıl önce sona ereceğini ilan etmiştir. Bunun nedeni ise kadınların tüm kötülüklerin temeli olmasıdır. Bu bağlamda, on faydalı ve faydasız davranış biçimini ele alan Eski Türkçe metin Daśakarmapathāvadānamālāda  DKPAM kadın cesedinin temsili ve çirkin tasavvuru birlikte ele alınır. Dört tür tutku Skt. rāga ve dokuz tür çirkin tasavvuru Skt. aśubhasaṃjñā bu eserde önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, DKPAMdaki dokuz çirkinlik tasavvurunun farklı kategorilerinin sırasını belirlemek ve karşılarında işledikleri tutkuları daha ayrıntılı olarak analiz etmektir.
