Abstract:

In evolving civilizations, fields such as science, thought and art are in harmony and act in integrity. This integrity can be seen among different areas as well as in a single element. For example; It is possible to think together the sub-branches of art such as poetry, music, miniature. This unity between poetry and music is not just a relationship realized through the composition of poems. Also, in our classical poetry, we have many elements of our classical music. We see that many poets used musical elements, and the divans were filled with elements that would carry the sound of music to the verses.

In this study, the use of concepts related to music in classical poetry is discussed and then, as an example, the musical elements used in the Naili's divan were determined. Thus, the divan of Naili, a rich name in using the concepts of music, was examined from this perspective and a new one has been added to the studies examining the relationship between poetry and music. As a result of the examinations, it was seen that in his poems, different musical instruments, concepts, etc. used lots of materials and in a sense, he embroidered music tunes in the ears of his readers.
