Abstract:

Abstract: This article aims to highlight some of the manifestations of the Egyptian cultural and literary presence in the activities of the Algerian reformist press, by tracing the echoes of the death of the Egyptian poet Ahmed Shawky, and the study tries to uncover the reasons why Ahmed Shawky was a source of inspiration in his life and presence in the Algerian press, and the continuation of his influence even after his death by commemorating the anniversary of his death with memorial ceremonies. These occasions represented a link that reflected the intellectual and cultural communication between Algeria and Egypt, and highlighted the failure of France's project to isolate Algeria from its Islamic and Arab surroundings.
