Abstract:

 

The difficulties encountered when converting “lyrics ” into “writing” and how to solve them are not usually discussed in the studies written on lyrics. Lyrics have been mainly studied within the framework of issues such as the harmony provided by meter between the work and its style, issues covered in lyrics, or the literary characteristics and value of lyrics. Lyrics are now put into writing in different media, such as below note lines, anthologies of lyrics, concert brochures and various Youtube channels that have shared works related to art music in recent years. However, the shared form of lyrics in these media confronts people who listen to the musical work and want to accompany it with two texts which do not visually and audibly match. The vocables like “Ah”, “Aman” which do not exist in the original lyrics, repeated verses or some words repeated in the verse, chants such as “ten nen ni”, “te ne na”, “ta dir ney”, if the lyrics are taken from a poem, the words or verses that do not actually exist in the poem but added or changed by the composer, and finally, the words pronounced distinctively by different performers of the same lyrics are not reflected in lyrics publications. This study will make some suggestions on how the expressions heard from the first note to the moment the last note is heard can be accurately and consistently turned into “written text”. The most important one of these proposals is that the poem must be written in italics and all the changes made by the composer must be written in normal and (in parentheses). By these proposals the changes on lyrics made by the composer can also be followed visually.

 

“Güfte”yi, “yazıya” dönüştürürken karşılaşılan güçlükler ve bunların nasıl çözüme kavuşturulabileceği, güfteler üzerine kaleme alınmış çalışmalarda genellikle ele alınmamış veya tartışılmamıştır. Güfteler, daha çok, vezni dolayısıyla eserin usûlüyle sağladığı uyum, güftelerde işlenen konular yahut güftenin edebî özellikleri ve değeri gibi konular çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Güfte metinleri günümüzde notaların alt kısmı, güfte antolojileri, konser broşürleri ve son yıllarda sanat müziğine ilişkin eser paylaşan çeşitli Youtube kanalları gibi farklı mecralarda yazılı hâle getirilmektedir. Ne var ki, güftelerin bu mecralarda paylaşılan biçimi, müzik eserini dinleyen ve buna eşlik etmek isteyen kişileri dinledikleriyle okudukları birbirinden farklı iki ayrı metinle karşı karşıya bırakmaktadır. Güftenin aslında bulunmayan “Ah!”, “Aman!” gibi nidâlar; tekrar eden mısralar veya bir mısra içinde tekrarlanan bazı kelimeler; “ten nen ni”, “te ne nâ”, “tâ dir ney” gibi terennümler; güfte eğer bir şiirden alınmışsa, şiirin aslında bulunmayan, fakat bestekârın eklediği yahut değiştirdiği kelime yahut mısralar ve son olarak aynı güftenin farklı icrâcılar tarafından ayrı biçimde telaffuz ettikleri kelimeler gibi meseleler güfte neşirlerine yansımamaktadır. Bu çalışma, ilk notadan son notanın duyulduğu âna kadar geçen sürede işitilen ifâdelerin doğru ve tutarlı bir biçimde “yazılı metin” hâline nasıl getirilebileceği konusunda bazı tekliflerde bulunacaktır. Bu tekliflerin en önemlisi şiire ait kısımların eğik biçimde, şiirde bestekârın yaptığı bütün değişikliklerin ise normal ve (yay içinde) yazılmasıdır. Bu teklifler ile güfte üzerinde bestekârın yaptığı değişiklikler görüntü olarak da takip edilebilecektir.
