 تعد القراءة الناقدة واحدة من أهم المهارات في اللغات الإنجليزية وغيرها من اللغات ،فمن خلالها يمكن للطلاب اختيار المعلومات لمعرفة دقتها، وتقييم الأفكار لكي يقرروا ما إذا كانت صحيحة ،وقابلة للتطبيق على تجربتهم. فالطلاب بحاجة إلى أن يصبحوا قراء ناقدين ،من أجل التعامل مع عصر المعلومات المعقد. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، فإن الكتابة عملية ضرورية، ليس فقط بوصفها مهارة مهمة ينبغي على الطلاب أن يتقونها ،ولكن لأنها أيضا أداة تقيم أعتيد استخدامها لقياس مدى تقدم الطلاب .ولقد أكدت عدة دراسات على وجود علاقة سببية تبادلية بين مهارات القراءة ومهارات الكتابة. فمدخل الخبرة اللغوية هو احد المداخل الفعالة في تدريس مهارات القراءة الناقدة ومهارات الكتابة للطلاب الذين يتعلمون اللغة الإنجليزية  كلغة أجنبية ،فلقد هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تنمية كل من مهارات القراءة الناقدة ومهارات الكتابة لدى عينة من طلاب الصف الأول الثانوي من خلال استخدام إستراتيجية قائمة على مدخل الخبرة اللغوية .وتم تطبيق اختبار لمهارات القراءة الناقدة ومهارات الكتابة قبل وبعد تطبيق الإستراتيجية على مجموعة من طلاب وطالبات الصف الأول الثانوي عددهم (60) طالب وطالبة تم اختيارهم  عشوائيا من مدرسة الشهداء الثانوية بليبيا وذلك في الفصل الأول للعام الدراسي 2011/2012 م. أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى فاعلية الإستراتيجية المقترحة في تنمية مهارات القراءة الناقدة والكتابة لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية .واختتمت الدراسة بمناقشة تلك النتائج ووضع مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات.
                  Critical reading is one of the most important skills in English and other languages. Through critical reading, the students can examine the information to see if it is accurate and evaluate ideas to decide if they are valid and applicable to their experience. Students need to be critical readers in order to cope with the complexity of the age of information. In addition , writing skill is an essential process not only as an important skill that should be mastered by students but also as an assessing instrument used to measure student's progress .Many researchers assured the relationship between reading and writing skills. The language experience approach is one of the most effective approaches in teaching critical reading and writing skills to EFL students. Thus, the present study aimed at developing the critical reading and writing skills of a sample in first year secondary stage students through the use of a strategy based on the language experience approach. A pre - post test of Critical reading and writing skills was administered to a group of sixty student in two first year secondary classes randomly selected from one of Libyan governmental secondary schools, namely Martyrs secondary schools for boys and girls in the academic year 2011, 2012 . Results of the study indicated that the Suggested strategy based on the language experience approach is effective in developing secondary students' Critical reading and writing skills. Results were discussed, recommendation and suggestions were made.
