Abstract:

In this topic, we will deal with a social linguistics issue that has spread widely in contemporary literature, namely, the phenomenon of linguistic duality that emerged following the colonial wave in several countries where authors appeared writing in two different languages. Since language is the cultural base of speakers, bilingualism means cultural dualism. What is the position of bilingual author in the midst of linguistic correlation and cultural cross-section? And how do we determine the space in which a bilingual author rests? First, we will try to introduce what bilinguality is, and then we will discuss a series of concepts that are closely related to this term, which is the space of the “in between” and “beyond the Linguistic Consciousness”.
