Abstract:

Throughout history, governments and rulers have always strived to consolidate and maintain their patriarchy and sovereignty, and have always tried to take various measures. Monarchs developed various and clever strategies and policies in which marriages were used as a tool to maintain their political rule. Political marriages within and outside the family were among the most effective tools used in political cohesion and integration. We are of the opinion that analyzing the causes and consequences of family connections will help shed light on the events of the historical period of the Timurid State, despite the religious differences in the times of the Timurids, Akkoyunlular and Karakoyunlu. It should be noted that sometimes the goals aimed in these marriages were not achieved and caused the destruction of one of the plans. Because marriages take place regardless of the couple's psychological criteria and based solely on the political and economic interests of the two governments or families. By examining the relations of the governments of this period within the framework of political marriages, we will try to examine their ups and downs and how a suitable platform was formed for the formation of the Timurid State.
