Abstract:

In a historical drama which is produced to evaluate
and offer an insight into the past, the author aims to describe the contradictions
of the society, its unchanging or unchangeable aspects, problems, and
desired and beautiful aspects through history. It is known that Jedidists produced
a great number of drama in Uzbek literature in the early twentieth
century, the period of enlightenment. Thanks to these works, historical
knowledge has been tried to be blended with literary pleasure and new generations
are enabled to produce new ideas. Cholpon does not only reveal
the social landscape of the 19th century by dealing such phenomena as social
differences, hero creation and distorted order with a socio-cultural perspective
but presents the story of a historical period to the reader in
“Yorqinoy”.

bilinmektedir. Bu tür eserlerle, tarihî bilgi edebî zevkle harmanlanıp yeni
kuşaklara fikir üretebilme yeteneği kazandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çolpan,
“Yorqinoy” (Yarkınay) adlı eseri vasıtasıyla sosyo-kültürel açıdan bakıldığında sınıf farklılıkları, kahraman yaratma, çarpık düzen gibi olguları tarihselci
bir perspektifle ele alarak sadece 19. asrın toplumsal manzarasını
ortaya koymakla kalmamış, dünden bugüne tarihsel bir sürecin hikâyesini
de okuyucularına aktarmıştır.
