Abstract:

Abstract.
At the time of the liberation revolution, the colonial authorities refused any contact with those whom they described as outlaws, but the steadfastness of the Algerian people throughout 1955 despite all the attempts and efforts of French colonialism under the emergency law, the revolution, however, is not invincible by force, as long as it is reinforced by its organs and by its leaders who are determined to continue the armed action, and that the French government He should only contact them to find the right solution, however, the French government continued to reject the contacts, which prompted him to decide on 5 August 1955 to extend the state of emergency.
The colonial authorities confirmed that a military solution does not guarantee the security of the Europeans in Algeria, they had only to contact the leaders of the revolution, to negotiate and on this basis the French began since 1956 to try to know the objectives of this revolution by confidential contacts between 1956-1958, and 1958-1960 discussions and at the end of public negotiations in 1962.
