Abstract:

Ottoman poetry is a poem which is poetic theme, motive, images and symbols are frequently used. In order to give deep meaning to poetry, rich dreams, to make expression effective, to express emotions and thoughts with literary arts such as similitude, metaphor; many elements such as flowers, trees, plants, animals, letters, celestial bodies, precious stones have been utilized. Precious stones have an important place in divan poetry with their brightness, beauty, color, hardness, production, characteristics and beliefs about them. These stones, known as ores and jewels, are referred to by the poets of the Ottoman poems more by analogy. One of the great poets of Iranian literature, the founder of the Persian Sufistic Masnavi style, Sanai-ye Ghaznavid also benefited from the mazmuns formed around stones such as agate, la’l, ruby, pearl, emerald and amber, and commemorated these stones through metaphor, similitude.
In this study, these precious stones used in the ghazals of Senâî were briefly explained. How the poet uses these stones and how they use these Stones. These stones are listed in Persian alphabetical order. The page number and couplet number of the sample (s) and the other sample (s) under each heading are given in the footnote.
