Abstract:

The power, which manifests itself in all areas of social life, dominates every area of society with its political power form. The media, which is one of these areas of domination, can become a tool of political power, although it should control the political power with its feature of being the fourth power. In this context, the agenda setting theory states that the news shown in the media is produced by the political power. In this study, the media coverage of the Peace Spring Operation was examined within the framework of agenda setting theory, using the content analysis technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods.

Toplumsal yaşamın her alanında kendini gösteren iktidar, siyasal iktidar biçimiyle toplumun her alanını tahakküm altına alır.
